MY GUEST IS SALEEM RESHAMWALA.
Saleem is a videographer based here in Durham, North Carolina. Our relationship dates WAYYY back to my early years at RUNAWAY. Even if his name doesn’t sound familiar, there’s a good chance you’ve seen his work if you’ve been following me over the last decade. I don’t know how you could’ve missed the North Cack video.
Saleem has been one of my fondest relationships in the business. He is incredibly wise and considerate, always tinkering and experimenting. He never settles for the status quo and is constantly thinking about how we can improve everyday life through an outta the box approach. You’ll hear some of that in our conversation as we discuss the future of education, why empathy is important to fostering strong communities, and how technology has changed his own approach to filmmaking.
As always, thank you for listening. I can’t say that enough. It continues to be a really hard year and then some, but this show, and this work at Buddy Ruski, has been an anchoring force of positivity for me and hopefully for you as well. I look forward to bringing great stories to you for years to come, but I could use your help. I’m sure some of you have heard the phrase, “trying to buy back your time.” Well, that’s where I am at right now. With so many ideas, and limited time, I’m working on other things to honor my financial responsibilities. I dream of a day when I can make podcasts, and videos, and write, with every waking minute of every day, bringing you the stories you so deserve. This is where you come in! Consider becoming a subscriber to fuel this engine to its max capacity. If you are already a subscriber, I thank you sincerely.
Much love to Jeremy Rist, aka Funkleberry, for bringing us in and taking us out, and to Holland Gallagher, aka VACAY, for the additional music drops throughout the conversation.
Without further ado, here’s Saleem Reshamwala.
